Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of Cowbell milk, said it has concluded plans to stretch to limit intakes in the National Secondary School Mathematics Competition (NASSMAC)  to accommodate more students.

Chief Keith Richards, Managing Director of the company made the disclosure at a press briefing on the 12th edition of the competition in Lagos, when he said that this year's edition promises to be  exciting and eventful.

He explained that it is the intention of the company to accommodate more students, more schools and to improve the quality of the examination processes across the 200 centres in Nigeria.

Richards said in a bid to realize this, the company would this year expand its communication reach across Nigeria to keep everyone informed and engaged through radio, television, online and press insertions throughout the duration of this competition.

'It is our belief that competitions like this will help our students to develop good study ethics that will have far reaching benefits to their academic and social life and will also generally improve human capacity development of the nation at large,' Richards said.

He therefore solicited the support, commitment and the passion of students, parents, teachers, educational bodies, various ministries of education, the media and all concerned stakeholders to join the company once again this year to search for diligent students who will take on this challenge and rise to the occasion through all the levels of tests to become the most outstanding students amongst their peers.

According to Richards, the NASSMAC has continued to experience remarkable national participation and in its last edition it recorded an impressive turn out of more than 34,000 students participating in the competition, which shows a consistent growth rate in the number of students who take the tests every year.
