AWKA - THE suit filed at an Awka High Court by the sacked chairman of Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC, Prof Titus Eze, challenging his removal by the state government and the State House of Assembly took another dimension yesterday when it was announced at the resumed sitting that the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuma had applied for transfer of the matter to another Judge.

It was gathered that the Attorney General applied to the state chief judge, Justice Peter Umeadi, for the transfer in December last year and the CJ was yet to assign it to another Judge.

The reason for the application, it was learnt, was due to a statement allegedly made by the presiding judge, Justice Hope Ozor, that it was wrong for the ANSIEC chairman to have been removed, a statement the AG regarded as bias on the part of the judge.
