J-PRYCE TO SHOOT “GBOJU MBE” VIDEO
Another R n B and Hip-Hop music sensation, Collins Abiodun Dada a.k.a J-Pryce is set to shoot his debut video come Saturday January 9, 2010. The video which has three locations including Alalo Inn in Isaac John, GRA, Ikeja, Maryland, and Lekki Beach etc will be shot on a high definition camera which the Director said were imported from South-Africa.
The Director of the video, Muyiwa Ade-Oni (M-Why) said the video will be the next biggest thing in the music industry in the next few weeks. “The video of “Gboju Mbe" of J-Pyrce is something to really watch out for. The concept is creating a sense of fun yet telling a story that is compelling and unique. It is a lovely story line. Directing is understanding the intention and conveying the appropriate emotion of an artiste to bring about something unique to the populace to enjoy” he averred.
Most of our videos in Nigeria do not tell any particular story, on most occasion it is just party scenes and chrome with the effect of ladies dancing. Videos should connect with the people.
The video will feature popular and known faces like Yemi Blaq, a Nollywood actor who himself is into music and the crazy entertainment anchor, Denrele Edun. J-Pryce featured another budding artiste called Tobi Flames in Gboju Mbe, the duo did justice to the song which many believe will become the national anthem on the street.
“Gboju Mbe” simply connotes take off your face or carry face in colloquial language. J-Pryce said he style of music is simply unique as he described it this way ” Simple words, Interesting, soul inspiring, irresistibly touching (even to myself!), youthful, and positively, highly emotional classics” he averred.
J-Pryce is signed with Brave Entertainment, as he hopes to release his full album before the end of the year. Two of his songs “Iwo Nikan and Shake It” have been enjoying maximum air play on radio and with D.Js since he released them some few months ago.
He hails from Akure, Ondo State and he is a graduate of Urban & Regional Planning, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He is one of the few artiste pencilled down to make headlines in year 2010.
