MFM PROVIDES FREE DIABETES & BP TEST ON ANNIVERSARY

By NBF News

As part of a-weeklong anniversary celebrations of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in Satellite Town, Lagos, the church conducted free diabetes and blood pressure check.

With the theme 'Celebrating the God of Wonders,' the event also featured health talk on nutritional values, deliverance sessions and Bible teachings on financial success for young people in a failed economy.

Brother Benjamin Uba, a devout member of MFM and a medical laboratory scientist who anchored the tests said: 'Our aim is to reach and teach as many people from Festac and Satellite axis of Lagos, and get them to know their status concerning diabetes and BP because most Nigerians are either ignorant of them, or care less about medical tests until they become ill.'

Also, Brother Paul Metuh, chairman of the anniversary committee, was equally sanguine about the event. 'Our package ranges from spiritual rebirth to physical deliverance,' he stated.

On his part, the branch pastor of MFM Satellite 2, Pastor John Abraham, said: 'We are six and proud of it because we have achieved so much in so little time. It is this success that we are celebrating and we want people to be part of that success.'

The cleric noted that, though there has been one pastor (Pastor Gbadamosi) between Adesanya and John, MFM Satellite 2 has grown in leaps and bounds, notwithstanding the space constraint it currently faces. 'To that end, the branch organized a fund-raising estimated at N30 million for a separate building for the youths. It was part of the grand finale/ thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 11,' he explained.

The Satellite 2 branch of MFM on Stepping Stone Close was founded six years ago under the stewardship of Pastor Dare Adesanya. At the time, the General Overseer of the church, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, had embarked on an evangelical mission of one street, one branch in Lagos. Six years on, the church which started from two classrooms now worships in a capacious building on its own land.
