House Queries 32 Committees For Late Submission Of Reports

ABUJA, December 8, (THEWILL) - Deputy Speaker of the House Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha Thursday expressed concern over the inability of 32 standing and ad-hoc committees of the House to submit reports of their investigations and urged them to comply immediately.


The Deputy Speaker, who was reacting to the report of the Business and Rules committee over the inability of the committees to submit their reports, said "the House has mandated all these committees totaling 32 to make available their reports to the House".

The committees according to him include: Special Duties and Police Affairs, expected to submit reports on breach and threat by communities in Edo and Delta states, and communal crisis in Nasarawa and Benue. The House Committee on Special Duties and Police Affairs, House Committee on Education was also mandated to submit its investigations on why the Ekiti Federal University has not taken off.

The House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency was mandated to submit its investigations on why the Owerri-Abia Road has not been completed.




The Federal Character House Committee was mandated to submit its report on the re-composition of the Federal Character Commission amongst other committees.
