Huhuonline.com http://Huhuonline.com/ reports another major building collapse in Nigeria where a six-storey building, housing over 10 companies has collapsed but without record of casualty. According to our source, 'the building located on at 11, Aderibigbe street, in

the Maryland area of Lagos, collapsed at about 6.30 pm on Wednesday after it had earlier in the day shown sign of possible collapse.

'The building, housing organisations like the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), SCIB Nigeria and Company Limited, Okay God Investment Limited, Klear Concept Limited and Global PMG Ltd, made a loud sound in the afternoon and left cracks on the wall.'

An occupant of the building told Huhuonline.com that they immediately evacuated the building after seeing the gravity of the cracks which were too obvious to be overlooked, adding that most of the occupants who had vacated the building were still outside watching as it finally gave way few hours later.

An official of Lagos state Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), who spoke on grounds of anonymity disclosed that the agency had assisted in the evacuation process after it had cordoned off the entire street to ensure safety of people around the area.
