FOLUKE MUDASIRU REMEMBERS HUBBY, EIGHT YEARS AFTER
Widow of the former Governor of Lagos State, the late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudasiru, Foluke Asani, at the weekend, paid glowing tribute to her husband who died eight years ago.
Air Commodore Mudasiru died on September 23, 2003 in a UK hospital after a brief illness and was later controversially buried in London by the widow and her children. Speaking to newsmen, Mrs Mudasiru recalled a great lovable and memorable marital moments she and her late husband had and lived together that would remain evergreen with her.
Mrs Mudasiru, who came back from London three weeks ago after being discharged from hospital over neck problem, used the occasion of the press conference to thank all those who stood by her and her children since the husband passed on, eight years ago. Answering a question on the controversy that surrounded her husband's estate, Mrs Mudasiru said that some eminent personalities in Lagos who were hiding their identities were really behind the efforts to hijack her husband's estate.
She, however, expressed absolute confidence in the Nigerian judiciary to do justice in the case she filed against those, she said, claim to be trustees of the estate. She said emphatically that despite the present travail of the Nigerian judiciary, it is still the last hope of the common man, unless Nigerians want the country taken over by anarchy.
Meanwhile, Justice (Mrs) Doris Okuwobi of Lagos High Court, has adjourned till October 21, this year, a motion of committal to prison filed by Mrs Foluke Mudasiru's lawyer Chief Robert Clarke (SAN) against Messrs G. Cappa Plc and some of its top management officials for failure to comply with an order of the court to render account in respect of late Gbolahan Mudasiru's property at Plot 1699 Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
