For the third time running, Access Bank Plc. is exempting another set of 30 of her customers from bank charges for life, subsequent to her 'Customer Engagement Campaign' promo. The promo raffle draws for the month of July took place recently at the Access Bank headquarters, on Victoria Island, Lagos.

Addressing newsmen and other dignitaries at the event, Access Bank Team Leader, Product Management, Mr. Victor Ohalete, said the bank reckoned that their esteemed customers deserved to be treated well; thus, customers, who update their personal data with the bank, in accordance with the new CBN directive, stand the chance to be exempted from bank charges for life. Besides, he stressed that the bank engaged in this promo to encourage savings culture among the customers and equally add more value to their lives.

According to Ohalete, the six-month- promo, which kicked off in May, 2011, will run through December, 2011, and it will produce 30 lucky winners each month. Also, he said the list of the exempted charges will be inscribed on the certificate that will be issued to each of the winners.

Speaking further on the modalities for the draw, Mr. Ohalete said the 30 lucky winners for each month are divided into two groups of 15 individual account holders and 15 corporate account holders. Meanwhile, he explained that the electronic draw is done with an electronic device that contains the list and the data of all the qualified customers for the draw. The machine is usually spinned and any name it picks when it is stopped spontaneously by the operator, becomes the winner.

To ensure integrity and transparency during the raffle draws, representatives of the Nigerian Consumer Protection Council and Lagos State Lottery Board are always around, not only to witness it but also to participate in the operation of the raffle draw.

At the end of the last raffle draws, 30 customers emerged as the lucky winners for the month of July.   Some of the lucky individual winners were  Sulaimon Ayinde-Iyana, Ipaja branch; Giwa Olarenwaju,Onikan branch; Tokunbo Olorogun, Idi-Araba branch; Ilokwu Uchenna, University of Nigeria, Enugu branch; Helen Aboribi,Warri branch while the corporate winners included GFK-RT Nigeria Limited, Maryland branch; Techplan Nigeria Limited, Kaduna branch, TSI Property and Investment,Olu Obasanjo branch, Port-harcourt, among others.
