Okonjo-Iweala secures SSS, Police clearance
Former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has scaled through the mandatory security checks for ministerial nominees and has been cleared by the State Security Service (SSS) and the police.

She was given the all-clear by the security agencies yesterday.

President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to forward her name and nine other ministerial nominees to the Senate for consideration on today.

Okonjo-Iweala is expected to head back to her former job as Nigeria's finance minister.

Daily Sun also gathered yesterday evening that the president might have settled for the nomination of Mrs. Omobola Johnson as the representative of Ondo State in the newly-constituted Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Johnson's appointment has foreclosed the return of former defence minister, Adetokunbo Kayode to the cabinet.

Senate continues confirmation of new ministers today.
