According to him: 'The success of the last general election in this country, particularly in Ondo State was due largely to the very professional way the security forces, especially the armed forces comported themselves in terms of security arrangement. One cannot but be proud of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

'Like I mentioned several times in the course of our security council meetings, we are truly proud of the officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in Ondo State.
