SAN FRANCISCO, April 02, (THEWILL) – There are reports from most states of the federation that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been unable to deliver electoral materials to polling stations hence making it impossible for accreditation to begin.

From various wards in Lagos to Edo State, Cross River to Rivers State; Adamawa to Sokoto, etc, the reports reaching THEWILL suggest that the delays may alter the timing for today’s poll.

THEWILL gathered that voting materials arrived in most states this morning which means it would take hours to sort them and thereafter move them to various local government areas and then to polling stations.

Some officials of the electoral commission have suggested that it would be impossible to conduct the election today in states like Delta and Cross River.

INEC has however not issued a formal statement to that effect.

The commission had announced that accreditation would begin at 8.am.
