I didn’t fight Mercy Johnson over D’banj –Rukky Sanda

Rukky Sanda, actress cum producer, is one of the babes that have been linked with the wave-making crooner, D'banj. Rukky Sanda, like some other women linked with the Koko Master, has denied any intimate relationship with him.

Speaking to Life and Beat on the telephone, Sanda said, “D'banj is just my friend. I don't have any intimate relationship with him. I have a boyfriend, but D'banj is not the person, and I am not ready to tell you who the person is.”

Sanda said she had known D'banj before he became a superstar. “I knew him as far back as our days in Lagos State University. That may be why people say we are dating. He is like a family friend. I am not dating him.”

There was also a rumour that Sanda had a quarrel with actress Mercy Johnson over the Why Me crooner. But Sanda denied having any confrontation with Johnson over D'banj. Johnson had also said in an interview that she had never met Sanda, much less quarrel with her.

Reacting to that, Sanda said, “I don't have any comment on what she said. I can't say I don't know her. I don't know why people said we had a misunderstanding because of D'banj. It might be because she and I don't talk. I know her. We worked together on a movie once, but our paths didn't cross. She is not my friend but I never quarreled with her over anybody.”
