ONI’S AIDE BLAST TINUBU OVER COMMENT ON JONATHAN

By Lere Olayinka

Chief Media Aide to Chief Olusegun Oni, former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Wale Ojo-Lanre has described as despicable the statement made by former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Bola Tinubu, calling president Goodluck Jonathan a drunken fisherman.

Ojo-Lanre, in a statement issued today said; “by Tinubu's statement, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and its leaders have demonstrated that they are indeed rascals, and as such vindicated the president.”

He said there were no other words with which people that emerged as governors through fraudulent means can be described other than rascals.

He said with their uncouth reactions of Tinubu, the sole-proprietor of the ACN, it has been justified that they are born propagandists and men of low integrity, adding that; “Mr. President cannot be blamed for saying the obvious about a party that parades serial document forgers and governors who got into office through black market judicial victories.”

His words; “Yoruba people cherish their names. We cherish honest, upright and hardworking people, who are always conscious of their father's name and won't for any reason seek to achieve anything through dubious means. But can this be said of Tinubu and the so-called ACN governors in Ekiti and Osun States? Definitely no!

“It is on record that Fayemi, through his legal counsel forged an affidavit in the name of Late Adrian Forty while Aregbesola forged the Police Report with which he obtained favourable judgment in his case against Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola. He (Aregbesola) was only saved from going to jail by the controversial Appeal Court judgment that used votes of 20 out of 30 Local Councils to make him governor.

“Again, won't sane minds regard a group of people, who tricked aspirants into parting with their hard earned money as nomination fees only for them to be told that the party tickets had been handed to wives, children, in-laws, friends and concubines of some of the party leaders as rascals?

“In Ekiti, Chief Adeleye Awolumate and Makanju Omoniyi were murdered in broad daylight while a pregnant civil servant, Adeola Akanni was slaughtered like a goat before she was rescued half-dead.

“Chairman of the ACN, Mr. Jide Awe was not even spared in their display of rascality in Ekiti. He was assaulted right inside the party secretariat by the party thugs.

“Yet, these low-minded people are assaulting our president for telling them exactly what they are.”

While urging President Jonathan not to be deterred by the outbursts of the ACN, Ojo-Lanre said; “Mr. President has said the obvious, it is left for Tinubu and his hawks in the ACN to retrace their steps and begin to seek penitence.”
