KOGI GUBER: ECHOCHO, AUDU, OBAJE MAKE LIST

In spite of a Federal High Court ruling last week restraining Jubrin Isah Echoho from parading himself the PDP standard bearer in Kogi State, INEC yesterday featured his name as the PDP governorship candidate in the forthcoming general elections.

Isah Kutepa, the runner up to Echocho had filed a suit asking the court to compel the PDP to do a rerun primary in the state as ordered by the National Working Committee of the PDP. The Federal High Court in its ruling ordered both INEC and the PDP to appear before it within 72 hours while rerun election would not take place. Judgement in the case is reserved till today.

Prince Abubakar Audu , Yusuf Obaje, yesterday made the list as governorship candidates of the ANPP and ACN respectively, while the name of Smart Adyemi was conspicuously displayed as candidate for Kogi West senatorial district.

The name of Nurudeen Abatemi, son of former deputy governor of old Kwara state and an aide to the Speaker, Dimeji Bankole was substituted by Saliu Ogembe who was defeated in the primary inspite of the court order upholding his election.

Daily Sun gathered that mainly, all the aggrieved candidates in the PDP primaries had pitched their tents with Prince Audu's ANPP.

Such candidate include the incumbent Senator, Saliu Ohize from Kogi Central and Hon Attai Aidoko, member, representing Ankpa-Omala Federal Constituency who was also contesting for the Senate on the platform of the ANPP.

A member of the House of Representatives Mr.Dino Melaye representing Kabba Bunu/Ijumu Fedral Constituemcy emerged as the ANPP candidate .

Also on the list were Clarence Olafemi, Speaker Kogi House of Assembly whomis the PDP deputy governor with Saliu Abdulazeez as the ACN deputy governor while Moses Musa Wokili is the ANPP deputy governor.
