Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia based Silver Coin Entertainment company is poised to storm Nigeria with full force this New Year. During a recent chat with us in the South-East Asian country, youthful Okafor Ikechukwu Cyprian, the head honcho of the wave making outfit, disclosed that the need to promote and project Nigerian brand of entertainment and stars in the whole of Asia were the reasons for establishing the outfit. 'Sincerely, I floated Silver Coin and Cool Coin Entertainment in order to help bridge the gap between our brand of entertainment and the foreign ones.

Upon my arrival here over five years ago, one thing I discovered was this big gap, which we are gradually closing with Naija entertainment and culture,' he disclosed.

Elaborating more on his vision and mission, Cyprian, from Ukpor, Anambra State further hinted that in order to encourage the growth and spread of Nigerian entertainment, himself and two business partners hosted one of the biggest shows in Kuala Lumpur, in December last year. The quartet of Nkem Owoh, Klint D' Drunk, Flavour and Chuxy headlined the very successful show that held at the city's Live Centre.

'It was difficult starting that show with my partners; it was also tough raising the huge funds we used in executing the show, which in my estimation remains the best African show in the whole of Malaysia. My happiness at the end of the day was that it was very success and we have decided to make it a yearly affair. Opa Williams Nite Of A Thousand Laughs, was one of the shows that inspired my going into entertainment, although, I've always loved entertainment and showbiz, while growing up.'

Soft-spoken Cyprian, who will be 30 this January, has equally concluded plans to float a multi million Naira entertainment empire in Nigeria, alongside an academy where talents can be groomed and nurtured internationally with his network of contacts. 'Having fully established our presence in Malaysia, Silver Coin, wants to come back home this 2011 to set up an ultra-modern studio that will be a force in the music/movie sectors, we are already consulting and discussing with our foreign collaborators. The aim is to boost entertainment and empower jobless youths positively.'

The showbiz entrepreneur also runs Cylexcoin Farms with heavy presence in Edo and Abuja, respectively. 'The future of Nigerian/African entertainment in Malaysia is very bright. It is spreading like wild fire and our dream is to completely take over that sector this 2011,' he posited.
