MOYES SEEKS AIYEGBENI'S REPLACEMENT IN FRANCE

The last has surely not been heard about floundering form of Yakubu Aiyegbeni at Everton of England, and the latest angle reveals that the search for an alternative to the Super Eagles' star has taken the Toffees' gaffer, David Moyes, to AS Monaco of France.

While awaiting confirmation of the possibility of Yakubu's move to either Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United, Moyes has turned his searchlight towards Monaco's Dieumerci Mbokani, who is now expected to snub an offer to replace Carlton Okirie Cole at West Ham United.

The big threat to Yakubu is that Moyes is desperate to add more firepower to his attack, after the club missed a glut of chances against Stoke City last weekend. Although, the gaffer is restricted by his budget, he expects a fair deal from Monaco, who signed Mbokani in the summer for £7million from Standard Liege, but is willing to give him out on loan and has been holding talks with West Ham.

The odds are now against an extension of Yakubu's relevance at Everton, with the once-fearsome hitman during his days at Maccabi Haifa, Portsmouth and Middlesbrough now reduced to a regular substitute with the Toffees.

Yak's collapse may now move at an accelerated pace once Mbokani arrives, as the incoming star is expected to sign at Goodison Park later this month.
