BAKARE, PRIEST URGE SANCTION

THE Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly and Convener, the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Tunde Bakare and a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Jacob Tondo, yesterday condemned the explosions in the country.

On the recent bomb blasts in the country, Bakare, who spoke in Lagos during a church service, said the acts were not only wicked but also devilish and that the masterminds and sponsors of the explosions would definitely face divine punishment soon.

'The Federal and state governments appear incompetent to handle the grave situation and bring to order the chaos in the country, ' he said.

In a sermon at the Saint Peter Parish in Makurdi yesterday, Tondo said it was unfortunate that some people would want to kill their fellow Nigerians because of differences in beliefs and political inclinations.

He advised Nigerians to be more security conscious and work towards assisting security agents with information on the movement of suspicious persons.
