CROSS River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, has emerged the sole Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant at the party's on-going zonal screening exercise in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.

Fielding questions from journalists after he was screened, Imoke said the exercise went well, as the party ensured that the process was 'acceptable, transparent and credible' with all aspirants given fair chance to be screened according to PDP guidelines.

Various campaign groups, clad in different attires with their candidates' photographs, stormed the screening venue drumming, singing and dancing.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Political and Legislative Affairs, Ntufam Edet Okon Asim, who was on Imoke's entourage to Port Harcourt, described the exercise as 'impressive', stressing that the two-day exercise underscored the integrity of the PDP.
