COTE D'IVOIRE ELECTIONS

SIR: One problem I believe African leaders have is the fear of coming to live among the people they defrauded and had their money stolen while they were in office. So when it is time to leave office, that is when they remember the crimes they have committed. If not, why should an election that removed Laurent Gbagbo from office through popular vote be cancelled?

He is afraid to come and live with the ordinary people because he has failed his country and wants to remain in power.
