COSCHARIS TO UNVEIL NEW BMW, EDIFICE IN ABUJA

Lovers of the BMW brand in Abuja will witness the unveiling of the new BMW 5 Series Sedan by Coscharis Motors, Nigeria's authorised dealer of the luxury vehicle.

The event, holding on December 13, 2010, will be followed the next day by the inauguration of the company's new BMW showroom in Abuja.

A statement by the company's Head of Marketing, Mr. Ifeanyi Nihe, on Monday, said that President Goodluck Jonathan was expected to lead other dignitaries, including the Minister, Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, to the historic event.

The new edifice, which is a six-storey building with offices, houses showrooms, mezzanine, service centres and quick service centres for all the brands.

The company said it was intended to reflect the extensive premium and luxury vehicle brands.

It quoted the manufacturer of the vehicle as saying that the objective of designing the car was to maintain its position as a segment leader.

'The new BMW 5 Series Sedan has the typical superior performance of a BMW whilst being highly efficient,' it added.

It also said that the new facility offered state-of-the-art technology with innovative features, it described as unique in the competitive environment. According to the company, with this perfect and unique balance of sporty and elegant design, performance and efficiency, driving experience and driver orientation, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan fits the demanding lifestyle of its customers in a perfect way.

Giving detailed features of the car, the firm said, unlike its predecessor, the new BMW 5 Series had a slightly more crouching stance, which gave it a more dynamic edge.

It said the vehicle 'is even slightly angled towards the front to emphasise the sportiness of this model.

'Every component of the car is designed to reinvent the car with each drive.

Even the surplus kinetic energy of the car that becomes available when the foot is lifted off the accelerator or the brake is stepped on is not wasted as it is converted into electricity and fed into the battery through Brake Energy Regeneration. This means less work to do for the engine, with a corresponding fuel saving.'

The company also said that the car came with highest safety standards available with BMW new Night Vision option, allowing the BMW 5 Series Sedan owners to see objects in the dark up to 900 feet ahead of the vehicle and 4-wheel steering.

'The rationale for the facility is to provide the highest levels of customer service for these premium brands, in line with international quality standards,' it added.
