DE-BRAVO RE-BRANDS WITH JUFUJI HIGH-LIFE

De-Bravo, an emerging highlife musician is poised to take his craft to the next level by ensuring that both youths and adults, especially those in positions of authority find time to relax with his songs. De-Bravo whose real name is Bamidele Ajitomobi, chose to dwell on a combination of Juju and Fuji which, according to him, is wrapped in what he simply refers to as JuFuji highlife.

In his words, 'My own kind of music is JuFuji highlife, which is a combination of Juju and Fuji. My pre-occupation is to address the mind of the adults, especially the people in positions of authority to tackle the issues that can bring a rebirth to our dear country Nigeria for a better society.

I also include our youths in the issue of an ideal country we are talking about. So, I try to create a balance in my music.  That is why I sing JuFuji to be able to use double-faceted creativity to achieve these purposes effectively,' he posited.

De-Bravo, whose first album entitled: 'Turaya @ Network' shot him into limelight in 2001, continued thus: 'I sing against corruption, bad leadership and emphasize better living conditions. I tell the youths to behave responsibly and prepare themselves as responsible citizens since they are the future leaders of this country.'

The act who had performed at several foreign shows, especially in the UK, renders his music in Yoruba, which he said was not a barrier, because those who do not understand his language, however, get thrilled by the rhythm in his music, adding that the message in every creative and good music could be deciphered in the rhythms.

Also speaking, De-Bravo's manager, F-Peter Andrews & Sons Limited (Eko Promotions), in a statement by its Nigeria branch coordinator, Azubuike Okoronkwo, said the blossoming artiste sings contemporary music, noting that with his creative acumen, he would soon be branded as a super star and JuFuji legend in a matter of few years.

Asked whether he had been able to use his message to influence any Nigerian leader, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife Theatre Arts graduate excitedly recalled that he had honoured invitations to sing for state governors, including erstwhile Abia State Governor, Dr. Uzor Orji Kalu, when Enyimba of Aba won the prestigious African CAF Championship. Others were Alao Akala of Oyo State, former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose and Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun State. He had also performed for ministers, senators as well as the Oba of Ife, Oba Ade Sijuade.

De-Bravo who also disclosed that the late Orlando Owoh is his role model and has tried to tally his style of music after the latter, has nine albums in his kitty since he stormed the music industry over  a decade ago. He's currently in the studios adding finishing touches to his latest offering, entitled: Top Up Ur Swagger.
