OGD EQUIPS MEDIA CENTRE FOR GOODLUCK/SAMBO CAMPAIGN
Poised to give the presidential aspiration of President Goodluck
Jonathan his all, Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has set
up a media centre equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
Spokesperson and Chairman of the Media Committee of the Presidential
Campaign Committee of the Goodluck/Sambo presidential ambition,
Southwest chapter, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, who made this known in a
release made available to journalists today, said the media centre
will begin operation in the next two weeks.
Adeyeye, who said the media committee of the campaign organisation was
highly impressed when they were taken round the facilities yesterday,
commended Governor Daniel for the initiative.
“We are not leaving anything to chance as to our support for the
aspiration of President Jonathan and his vice, Architect Namadi Sambo
in the Southwest, hence the decision of the Coordinator, Governor
Gbenga Daniel to set up a media centre that will be manned by seasoned
media men on full time basis.
“Everything that is needed for effective media and publicity works of
the campaign organisation has been provided and we can't but be
grateful to Governor Daniel for this gesture,” Adeyeye said.
Reiterating the support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the
Southwest for the Goodluck/Sambo presidential aspiration, Adeyeye
said; “We in the Southwest are crusaders for a Nigeria where merit and
competence take the front burner in determining who gets elected into
any political office in general and the presidency in particular.
“It is our belief that what Nigeria needs at the moment is a President
whose appeal is national and will not be seen as someone who is
elected based on ethnic or religion sentiment.
“Therefore, it is in the interest of oneness of this country that we
should all support the Goodluck/Sambo ticket because it is in it that
Nigeria will be further established as a nation of equal opportunity
for its people.”
