VIDEO News: ‘A Leader Must Accept Mistakes’— Peter Obi Tells Isaac Fayose During Visit

The presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has paid a condolence visit to the younger brother of ex-governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, Isaac Fayose following the death of his wife, Grethe Arendine Fayose.

Obi was received by Isaac Fayose during the visit on Saturday, where he expressed his condolences and offered prayers for the repose of the deceased.

The condolence visit comes on the heels of Isaac Fayose’s recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, which generated widespread reactions on social media. Some critics had accused Fayose of aligning with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), fuelling speculation about a possible defection to the party.

In a video shared via his handle on Friday, Fayose had expressed disappointment that Obi never appreciated him for supporting his campaign during the last general election in 2023.

According to him, he made personal sacrifices in support of Obi’s presidential ambition but has not received any acknowledgement from the former Anambra State governor.
