The Edo State Police Command has arrested two additional suspects in Delta State following an intensive manhunt linked to the June 14 abduction of a woman at the Vegetable Market off Airport Road in Benin City.

These latest arrests follow the earlier capture of 32-year-old Marvellous Isaac, who allegedly implicated local community security personnel in supplying the weapons used for the abduction. Amidst the ongoing crackdown, the police also neutralized another suspected gang member, identified as Precious, who was killed during a fierce gun duel with security operatives.

In a conclusive update to the operation, authorities recovered critical operational assets from the syndicate, including a Lexus RX 350 SUV, firearms, ammunition, a motorcycle, and ₦2.25 million in cash. Active investigations remain underway as collaborative security agencies intensify efforts to track down the remaining members of the kidnapping syndicate and completely dismantle the criminal network responsible for the abduction.
