Video News: Panic As Fire Engulfs Polaris Bank Building On Lagos Island

A major fire incident has broken out at a commercial building housing Polaris Bank on Broad Street in Marina, Lagos Island on Thursday afternoon.

Several videos of the incident making the round on the internet showed as the commercial building was engulfed in flames, triggering panic among workers, residents, and emergency responders.

Thick smoke was billowing from the building as firefighters battled to contain the inferno. The incident reportedly affected the structure housing banking and commercial operations within the Lagos business district.

As of the time of filing this report, emergency management agencies and relevant authorities had yet to confirm any casualties in the incident.

Eyewitnesses described chaotic scenes as occupants attempted to escape the building while rescue efforts continued.
