Denmark’s Richest Man, Anders Povlsen, Visits President Tinubu To Strengthen Bilateral Ties.
President Bola Tinubu on on Tuesday, received Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark's wealthiest individual, the CEO of Bestseller and Chairman of the Bestseller Foundation, at the State House, Abuja.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, announced the visit on X, including photographs from the meeting.
Accompanied by Ambassador Jens Bach Hansen, Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen met with President Tinubu and top administration officials.
Those in attendance included the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.
The Bestseller Foundation, a private philanthropic organisation funded by the Danish fashion company Bestseller A/S, focuses on driving social and environmental impact, particularly in West Africa. Its work supports entrepreneurship and sustainable ventures that deliver both social and financial returns in communities linked to Bestseller’s global value chain.
Before the meeting with the Nigerian President, the delegation was received by the Chief of Staff and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
The engagement with Povlsen followed other recent diplomatic steps, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Nigeria and Denmark to strengthen cooperation in digitization and innovation.
