Setterfield-Toms Rematch Set For October 10th
On Sunday October 10th, just one month after convincingly defeating the highly experienced Matt Scriven on the undercard of the magnificent title double header æItÆs PersonalÆ event, æDynamoÆ Daryl Setterfield is set to be back in action in a rematch with Ryan Toms, at the Miranda Carter Left Jab Promotions æ10: 10: 10:Æ event at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.
The close loss to Toms still irks Setterfield, who was looking to build on the sensational knock out win over unbeaten championship prospect Darren Hamilton back in March.
Taking some time out, following a training session under the watchful eyes of trainer Derek Grainger at the Ultrachem TKO Boxing Gym in Canninng Town, Setterfield said, ôItÆs gonna be a hard fight, he can box well. HeÆs a good kid, he beat me last time on points, but with all due respect it could have gone either way. IÆve got a bit more experience now, IÆm a bit more schooled and know a few new tricks. I think I can beat him this time.
Before I went into the Toms fight I had the knock out over Darren and I think that lifted me. I think it lifted me to much when went into that fight with Ryan Toms.
I knew it would be a hard fight, heÆs a southpaw which is awkward for me. I didnÆt get a lot of time to get southpaw sparring because I was supposed to be fighting another kiddie.
This time IÆve got some good sparring with southpaws and that. Hopefully I can put what IÆve learned from it in action on the 10th.
In my last fight against Matt Scriven I boxed well, I was relaxed and was able to really let my punches go. I enjoyed the fight you know. Hopefully IÆll go into the Toms fight with the same sort of attitude and am relaxed, let my shots go and basically walk him down.
Setterfield vs Toms will be support to the BBBofC Southern Area Cruiserweight title battle between Leon 'Solid' Williams against JJ Ojuederie
The undercard includes Ashley Theophane versus a yet to be named opponent, Jimmy Ward v Tommy Marshall, Adam Battle versus Setterfield's Ultrachem TKO gym mate Cassius Connor whilst Gary Boulden and Toks Owoh battle it out against yet to be named opponents.
Doors open at 2pm and the show begins at 3pm
