The Israeli Unprovoked Attack On Iran: Another Blatant Violation Of International Law

The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins the world community in condemning the recent Israeli aggression and attack against Iran. Once again, Israel violates international law with impunity.
Such a wide-scale and unprecedented attack targeting civilians and officials again shows the political hypocrisy and double standards when dealing with different conflicts. When it comes to Israel, all violations are excused in the name of self-defense or averting a threat.
During this attack, Israel invaded the airspace of Iraq and Syria. Israel has no regard for the sovereignty of nations in the region. Ironically, Israel is trying to destroy Iran’s nuclear capability, while Israel itself possesses an arsenal of nuclear weapons. Israel repeatedly evades accountability.
Unfortunately, the US and other Western countries continue to support Israel regardless of the nature of its actions.
This attack on Iran coincides with the ongoing starvation and genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza. As usual, Israel gets away with all kinds of severe violations. When the world tries to stop it, the US veto is ready at the UN. The result is a global legal system undermined by selective enforcement and geopolitical bias.
The West invented international law, and the West is allowing Israel to violate it with impunity. We urge all countries to be consistent with international law and to put an end to Israel’s crimes.
AHRC urges an end to all violence and urges the international community to act in defense of human rights, dignity, and the rule of law.
The most basic human right is the right to life, and we see too many preventable deaths. This is a grand failure of the international community and a moral failure of the highest order. Our world must and can do better.
