Peter Obi Visits Dele Farotimi After Release From Prison

The 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Thursday, visited renowned human rights activist and lawyer, Dele Farotimi, following his release from the correctional centre in Ekiti.

Recall that Farotimi was released on bail following his arrest over defamation charges filed by legal luminary, Chief Afe Babalola.

The visit came shortly after Obi’s meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

During the interaction, Peter Obi expressed his delight at reuniting with Farotimi and commended his steadfast commitment to advocating for a better Nigeria, even in the face of personal challenges.

“Dele Farotimi exemplifies courage and dedication,” Obi said in a post on his social media.

“His bold stands for good governance and his passion for justice inspire many. I wish him a fruitful year as we continue to work toward the progress of our country.”
