The Akran of Badagry, Oba De-Whenu Aholu Menu-Toyi, has urged the Federal Government to address the deplorable conditions of the communities along the nation's borders.

A statement by the Media Consultant to the Border Communities Development Agency, Mr. Bernard Akonna, quoted the monarch as saying this when the board of the border agency led by its executive secretary, Mr. Numoipre Wills, paid him a courtesy call in his palace.

The monarch, who described the communities as gateway to the nation's treasury, decried the near collapse of infrastructural facilities in the border communities.

He added that the deplorable state of border communities due to neglect by government portrayed negative impressions about the country to visitors and intending tourists alike.
