TOPIC: SHE STOLE IT AND DIED
SCRIPTURE: And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin. And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

Genesis 35:16-19.
In our previous Study, we saw how Jacob left Laban’s house and his wife, Rachael, stole Laban’s idols without Jacob’s knowledge. When Laban pursued Jacob for his missing idols, Jacob cursed the person who stole the idol without knowing that it was his wife, Rachael, who stole them.

In Genesis 35:16-19, the curse came to pass:
And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

Rachael died! She did not reach the Promised Land because she took what she was not meant to take and that took her life before her time.

Beloved, can you see the consequence of taking what does not belong to you? Rachael died! Jacob and his family members had not yet reached the Promised Land, and Rachael ended her journey halfway. When a person takes what he is not meant to take; what he is not meant to take can take his life before his time.

There were things people took that took their lives before their time. There were things that have taken the lives and destinies of many people because they took those things without being legally given. Some people’s favour had been taken because they took what they were not supposed to take.

Many people have lost their place in God, especially in eternity because they took what they were not licensed to take.

Beloved, the surest way to premature death and abortion of destiny is taking what does not belong to you.

Therefore, continue to Refuse to die before your time; refuse to abort your destiny.

Refuse to take what is not legally yours.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from the spell of greed and covetousness. Help me never to be a partaker of curses that follow thieves, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
