President Tinubu Appoints Shehu Mohammed As New FRSC Boss

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), Shehu Mohammed, as the new Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The announcement was made in a letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, dated May 20, 2024.

According to the letter, the appointment aligns with Section 7 (1) of the Federal Road Safety Commission Act, 2007, and takes effective from May 20, 2024.

Mohammed succeeds Dauda Ali Biu as the head of the corps Marshal.

Also, the letter noted that Mohammed’s tenure is for an initial period of four years and aligns with the provisions of the Act establishing the commission.
