I Will Ensure that Tipper Drivers remain united in Ebonyi -President, Tipper Drivers Union, Ebonyi State

The President of the Tipper Drivers Union, Ebonyi State, Comrade Onicha Chinedu has declared that his administration would work assiduously towards ensuring that there is unity, peace, oneness and togetherness among all the members of the Union.

Chinedu, who stated this during the Union's meeting at the People's Club, Abakaliki, explained that members of the Union are committed towards the growth and development of the Union, against all odds.

According to him, there's no disunity, rancour and disaffection in the Union as all hands are now on deck, towards ensuring that Tipper Drivers in the State remain well coordinated and Progressively minded.

He said: "We held our meeting comprising both the State and Local Government Executives of this Union. Whenever we have any challenge, we normally call on all the Unit executives, in order to get the challenge addressed.

"In the previous administration, when the former President calls for a meeting, you don't usually see reasonable number of members in attendance.

"The people you see here are the people that elected me and they have demonstrated their love for me as their President. I promise that I will not fail my supporters and all the members of the Union. I will do my best to unite everybody. I will do my best to put smiles on their faces."

The Chairman of the Unit in Afikpo North Local Government Area, Mr. Boris Ogbonnia Urom noted that all the members of the Union were solidly behind the Comrade Chinedu Onicha-led administration in the State.

"I must emphasized that the Members of the Tipper Drivers Union, Ebonyi State Chapter are united. Just about a few weeks ago, we held our general election, which was very successful. It took place at the Pa Ngele Oruta Stadium Abakaliki.

"We elected the candidate of our choice in the person of Comrade Chinedu Onicha. We supported him from the beginning to the end. We came here for our general meeting, in order to deliberate on issues affecting the Union."

Declaring his support for the incumbent President of the Union, Comrade Aligwe Ogbonna of Ezza South Unit emphasized that the emergence of Comrade Chinedu Onicha has laid to rest the issue of leadership tussle that has bedevilled the Union for quite some time.

"I and the members of the Union, including the Secretary are here. We supported the Chairman by voting for him massively. We will support him to succeed. We will support him to move the Union forward."

Also, the Secretary of the Union in Izzi LGA, Mr. Sunday Destiny stated that the Unit in Izzi was supporting the administration of Comrade Chinedu Onicha as everyone was happy when he emerged as the President of the Tipper Drivers Union in the State.
