President Tinubu Re-Constitutes National Stakeholders’ Working Group For NEITI

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of a 15-man National Stakeholders’ Working Group (NSWG) for Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

This is as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume is appointed to serve as the Chairman of the NSWG.

Members include Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Ltd, Mele Kyari, Mr. Oghenegwueke Ajafia, as representative of

Oil Producers Trade Section, Lagos Chamber of Commerce (OPTS); President, Miners Association of Nigeria, Mr. Dele Ayanleke, and a representative of the Civil Member (To be elected by the CSOs).

Others are Engr. (Mrs.) Nkechi Isigwe, Representative of Women/ Geo-scientist, President NUPENG, Comrade Willians Apkoreha as representative of industries Union in oil and gas, Barr. Musa Abdullahi as representative of North -West, Abubakar Mu'azu as representative of North - East

Zone, Amb. Matthew Sunday Adoli as rpresentative from North - Central Zone, Olasupo, Abdel-Jeleel Taiwo as representative of South -West, Chief Israel Ikechukwu Ikwuegbu as representative of South - East, Dr. Stephen Leo Akpan as representative of South - South and Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji as Secretary to the NSWG Executive Secretary/CEO.

In a statement made available by Segun Imohiosen, Head, Information & Public Relations for Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the OSGF has written to the CSOs through NEITI to elect & present their representative and the process is on.

He added that inauguration of the Board will be announced in due course.
