Emerging reports are indicating that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently conducting a search operation at the Lagos head office of the Dangote Group.

According to reports, the anti-graft agency officials are conducting a search on forex allocations to the company during the tenure of Godwin Emefiele as Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

Though details of the report are still sketchy, Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s spokesman, however confirmed the development.

Similarly, a source at the Dangote head office said the operatives are asking for documents on foreign exchange transactions with the CBN.
