EXCELLENT LEADER! – GOV. YAKOWA COMMENDS BABAYARO

Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State, has commended the Chairman of Kaduna United FC, Alhaji Sabo Babayaro, for what he described as 'his excellent leadership' in the team, a virtue he said has seen the state team set to play in the final of this year's Federation Cup.
Governor Yakowa made the commendation recently at the Government House in Kaduna, when the management and players of Kaduna United paid him a courtesy call. He said it was Alhaji Babayaro's hard work and ingenuity as the chairman of the club that motivated the players to perform well so far to make the government and people of Kaduna State proud.
'I sincerely thank the Chairman of Kaduna United, Alhaji Sabo Babayaro, for his excellent work and good leadership style in piloting the affairs of the team,' the governor began. 'I believe that it is his leadership style that brought the club to the final of this year's Federation Cup. 'I also have great confidence that with Alhaji Babayaro working in tandem with the entire management of the team and the players, Kaduna United will win this year's Federation Cup.'
The sports-loving governor stated that his government would give Kaduna United all the support it might need to ensure it brings the Federation Cup trophy to the state for the first time. He stated that if the team wins the trophy, it would add to the success stories the state has recorded in 2010.
The governor promised that he would constitute a committee under his deputy to support Kaduna United's management to ensure that the team prepares well for the Cup final. And to give further credence to his support for the team, Governor Yakowa promised that he would be in Lagos with some other key stakeholders in the state, to watch the Federation Cup final to ensure that Kaduna United carry the day.
Earlier in his speech, the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, who led the team on the courtesy visit to the governor, said it was necessary for the team to visit the governor to thank him for all his support to the team. He also expressed his optimism that the team would win the Federation Cup final against Enyimba International of Aba in Lagos.
The Chairman of Kaduna United, Hon. Babayaro, on his part, said with continued support from the state government, the team would win the Federation Cup. He expressed his appreciation for what the governor has done for the club so far, but like Oliver Twist, he pleaded with the state government to also provide the club with a new bus and an official car to enable the club perform better in its future endeavours.
