SA to Umahi on Youth Mobilization, Drug Control resigns, joins PDP

History was made as the special Assistant to Ebonyi state governor on youths Mobilization and Drug control, Hon. Mark Onu resigned his appointment and declared his support for Dr. Ifanyi Chukwuma Odii, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming March 11, governorship election.

Hon. Onu in a well attended press conference in Abakaliki on Friday declared that he has also fully rejoined the PDP family.

Onu, a member of the kitchen cabinet of Governor Umahi, and also from Ohaozara, the home LGA of Governor Umahi told his teeming supporters, especially the youth that he had to join the PDP because Dr. Ifeanyi Odii is the best thing that can happen to Ebonyi State.

“We all know Anyi Chuks, and my conscience cannot forgive me if I cannot join other well-meaning Ebonyians, to bring this freshness and good news to Ndi Ebonyi,” He said.

Hon. Onu is among the many top government officials who have already volunteered to join the PDP to deliver Dr. Ifeanyi Odii on March 11, 2023 as the new governor of Ebonyi State effective May 29, 2023.

Reacting, the Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, Mr Moses Idike said it is a welcome development, adding that PDP in the state awaits other patriots in the quest to rescue Ebonyi State.
