Topic: CHANNELS OF BLESSINGS
SCRIPTURE: And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
2 Kings 4:6
Beloved, God does not bless stagnant ponds; He blesses flowing rivers.
Some years back, my wife and I held our hands together and prayed to God to make us a depot of His Blessing. Our prayer to God was that God should make us the channel where His Blessings can flow through. And God answered that prayer. God’s Blessing has been flowing through our lives to bless many other lives.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS: God does not bless containers; He blesses channels. The destiny of a container is limited. In the same manner, you are limited if you are only looking for what to carry or what to contain.
2 Kings 4:5-6 says:
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
God does not bless stagnant ponds; He blesses flowing rivers. When you make up your mind to be a flowing river to your family members and to your generation, you will never know the end of resources.
Some people are only takers. They don’t understand the act of giving.
Beloved, you don’t need to be a millionaire before you can be a blessing; start from where you are, with what you have. For example, you don’t need to wait to be a blessing to people when you have nine suits to give. You can start with giving out one tie, one shirt or even small money notes from your pocket and before you know it, you will see God blessing you beyond measure.
- Refuse to be only a container of God’s Blessing.
- Distribute what you have to the needy for God to do more through you.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask that You make me a channel of Your Blessings and not a container, in Jesus name
