Tragedy As Family Of Six Members  Drown In Anambra

Residents of Nzam community of Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State have been thrown into mourning following the death of six members of a family.

The Nigerian Voice learnt that the victims drowned after the their home was submerged in a flood on Tuesday.

In a trending video, youths of the community were seen bringing out corpses from a house and depositing them in an upland area.

The bodies consisted of a woman, her four children and a sister.

A narrator in the video said the family members were already prepared to leave for a safe place, before their residence was submerged by flood.

It would be recalled that about 81 people lost their lives in two boat accidents in Ogbaru Local Government council of the state last week.

Also, a man, who had successfully evacuated his family from the flood and opted to stay back to take care of the vicinity recently, drowned in Ogbaru while he was asleep.
