The dethroned Baale of Shangisha in the Magodo area of Lagos, Mutiu Ogundare, has bagged a fifteen year imprisonment over fake kidnapping.

It would be recalled that the former Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, on July 13, 2017, had suspended the Baale over a kidnap incident.

Meanwhile, after five years, Justice Hakeem Oshodi, convicted and sentenced the accused on a two-count bordering on breach of peace in the state and fake kidnapping.

While delivering the judgement on Tuesday, the judge also jailed the brother of the suspended monarch, Opeyemi Mohammed, for the same jail term.

The court, however, set his wife Abolanle, free, having earlier absolved her of the charges earlier leveled against her.
