URGENT NEED FOR NOMINATION OF SUBSTANTIVE RUNNING MATE TO APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE; H.E BOLA AHMED TINUBU

The Buhari Legacy Group (BLG) hereby appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the APC Presidential flag bearer, H.E Bola Ahmad Tinubu, the Progressive Governors forum and other stakeholders to nominate substantive running mate as quickly as possible, within the serving ministers, so as to consolidate on the legacies initiated by President Buhari.
Personal interest such as 'running mate must come from serving governors' should be jettisoned for the interest of the country. Beside, H.E Bola Tinubu himself was a Governor, hence the need of experience minister as a running mate to match to the next level should be considered.
No Government in the history of the world has solved it's decades of decadence within 8 years or so, rather, it should ensure suitanability of its initiated policies to successive administrators.
Buhari's Government launched a long term development plan, few among them are:
- pulling out 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next 10 years,
- self sufficiency in food and locally refined petroleum products,
-total industrialization of the country,
-Uninterrupted power supply
- connecting all the 36 state capitals with rail line to mentioned but few.
These are laudable programmes that need to be sustained to the logical conclusion if a prosperous new Nigeria must be borned.
And to achieve these, a technocrats that helped in drafting and activating these initiative must be in the corridor of power for a long time so as to assist in the implementation of the development plan.
Move to impose unprepared running mate' to Bola Ahmad Tinubu against Well prepared running mate can dustrupt the above highlighted legacies of APC Government in Nigeria.
As such, BUHARI LEGACY GROUP concurred with NORTH EAST APC GROUP that the serving Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN remains the best option on ground of his knowledge and contributions in drafting the aforementioned developmental plans as well as his loyalty, experienced and tract record of achievements in the administration of the APC, briefly highlighted below:
1-Malami was actively involved in the formation of APC; it's constitution and manifestos since 2013 to date
-Malami is one of the best brain in President Muhammad Buhari led Federal Government fully involved in initiating and successful implementation of policies, such as Social Investment, Agriculture and infrastructural development.
-Malami's creativity, patriotism and competency saved Nigeria from losing over $10billion (N5 Trillion) from P&ID as well as Inter Ocean Oil cases against Nigeria.
- Malami also used same God given talent and recovered over N1 Trillion stolen fund from within and outside the country.
-Malami as one time Committee chairman of Continental Shelf Project, explored the way to get additional territory to Nigeria without any conflict: a brilliant idea President Buhari boasting of.
- Malami ensure the effective implementation of preventive anti-corruption policies such as TSA, BVN, IPPIS and numerous supporting Executive orders.
- He initiated many valuable reformations in the Nigerian legal system
-Malami's youthful age and region hails from (North West) are additional advantages that can sale Tinubu/Malami ticket in ease.
It is suprising with this best material amidst APC we are still talking of consultation to the extent of trying to force the UNWILLING Governor to this important position.
Let us sacrifice our personal interest for national interest.

Consequently, we solicit with President Buhari to strike while the iron is hot by forwarding the name of ABUBAKAR MALAMI, SAN, as substantive running mate to Bola Ahmad Tinubu; delay can be DANGEROUS as the saying goes.
