American International University Celebrates Dr. Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio (First Lady Of Sierra Leone)

Following the conferment of Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters (D.HumL.) on the First Ladies of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mrs. Fatima Maada Bio and The First Lady of Republic of The Gambia, Dr. Mrs. Fatoumatta Bah-Barrow respectively, the American International University took the celebration a step further by putting together an auspicious dinner in honour of their fresh graduates.

The University's Chancellor insists that the memorable dinner will in addition to award ceremony, stamp a statement of further authenticity whereby the new receipients will henceforth wear a new prefixof 'Doctor (DR.)' in their names. He described the celebration as a historic honor.

The delighted Sierra Leonean First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio expressed her appreciation to the university for the recognition and acknowledgment of her modest contribution to humanity in a unique way.

She urged the University to remain steadfast in promoting women in the region through recognition of their work and formal knowledge imparting.

The unpretentious First Lady of Sierra Leone expressed her undiluted love for Sierra Leone and The Gambia for making her the person she is today, with special reference to Sierra Leone for giving her the opportunity to serve as their First Lady while the Gambia remains her formative cherished birthland. She is gladdened in the fact that both countries love her very much as she too treasures the two countries.

"Thank you Sierra Leone for giving me the opportunity to serve you; thank you Sierra Leone for making me understand what it means to be a woman that is determined to make a change; thank you for giving me this special privilege and space to be your First Lady. I pray that by the time I leave office, I would have served you with distinction and you would be proud to call me your First Lady," she asserted.

Dr. Bio expressed appreciation to all that have invested in her life in diverse ways.
