Ebonyi APC Commends Buhari, Umahi Over Peaceful Primaries.

The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has described the recently concluded States' primary elections of the Party as the most peaceful party primaries in Nigeria's recent history.

The Party's State chairman, Stanley Okoro Emegha stated this in a message made available to newsmen on Friday in Abakaliki.

Emegha, who commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his fatherly role in the whole exercise, also appreciated the National Working Committee of the party for what he described as their incorruptibility and intelligence which helped to shape the entire exercise.

He maintained that the calibre, integrity and comportment of members of the various committees that handled the Ebonyi Primaries of the Party was responsible for the commendable outing, devoid of confusion.

That, he added, was a clear pointer to the readiness of the Party to emerge tops in the 2023 elections.

Part of the statement reads: "Consequent upon the successful completion of the primaries, the All Progressives Congress APC, Ebonyi State chapter, writes to profoundly felicitate with our indefatigable leader cum President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR for his fatherly role that midwifed a violence free exercise all over the country.

"Unlike the catastrophes that usually characterised party primaries in the past, your Excellency, you have truly instilled discipline and brotherliness among Nigerians because even other political parties organised theirs with minimal turbulence."

The State Party Boss, while appreciating Governor David Umahi for his equity, justice and fair stance throughout the exercise, also congratulated the Party's governorship flag bearer, Francis Nwifuru for his victory in the Ebonyi primaries.

He extended his gratitude to other stakeholders including the National Electoral Commission, security agencies, the media and other party leaders for their invaluable roles which added impetus to the entire exercise.

"To our amiable state Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, for standing on the path of equity, Justice and fairness in the best interest of Ebonyi people during the primaries, the party is indebted to you.

"As a consummate leader endowed with unassuming wisdom, your Excellency, you provided a level playing field for all the aspirants to test their popularity.

"This stand of yours has further strengthened the party's unity and progress, Emegha affirmed.
