Nigerian Ambassador To The Netherlands, Dr. Ajayi Parleys With Nigerian Media And Entertainment Family At Her Residence

The Nigerian Ambassador to The Kingdom of the Netherlands, Her Excellency, Dr. Eniola Ajayi and other Nigerian diplomats at the Nigerian mission in The Hague recently received a delegation of Nigerians in the Media and Entertainment Industry. The Ambassador hosted the group in her residence in The Hague. The group was led by the Chairman of United Nigeria Platform (UNP), Mr Donald Okeke

The leader of delegation, Mr. Taiwo Obude, aka; DJ Budette introduced his team of Nigerian media and entertainment industry practitioners in the Netherlands. He thanked Her Excellency for making out time despite her tight schedule to receive the delegation.

The ambassador paid rapt attention to their presentations and responded, signalling her support for the group, describing the group as partners to advance the positive image of Nigeria. The delighted head of the Nigerian mission in The Netherlands assured them that she was already in their fold. She further pledged the commitment of the Embassy to the group in different areas.

She requested the group to update her office with more information on their various specialities as that will be handy whenever the opportunity beckons.

She charged the group to remain united and work to unify our fatherland, Nigeria, as we have no other country to be called our own. According to her, the sky is large enough for all the birds, hence she solicited for their cooperation and understanding for everyone to operate in a healthy environment. She made a passionate appeal to Nigerians across the board to maintain nobility and integrity in whatever they engage themselves in to protect the name of Nigeria and the host country, the Netherlands.

Dr. Ajayi stated her zeal for citizens diplomacy whereby the welfare of Nigerian in the Netherlands becomes her paramount concern. She therefore beckoned on all Nigerians who are yet to register themselves with the Embassy to do so soonest. “Nigerians have nothing to fear, we are here to protect the interest of all Nigerians, your information is not being gathered for any other purpose than to know your whereabouts in case of incident like what we are witnessing in Ukraine and Russia; nobody planned for it or expected it and we want to be able to account for all Nigerians”.

“I need your support to get all Nigerians to register in the Netherlands”, a direct appeal to all Nigerians involved in the media and entertainment industry to use their platforms to encourage other Nigerians who are yet to be registered to do so soonest. Nigerian citizens are our assets therefore we have a mission here, come to the Embassy if you have any question and connect with the UNP, an association which represents Nigerians in the Netherlands and work with us at the mission house in the Hague".

Critical iareas of possible collaborations were discussed and concluded. The Ambassador reiterated her commitment to INCLUSION, IMAGE BUILDING, INVESTMENT DRIVES AND INNOVATION in technology as core of her journey to International diplomacy, first in Hungary where she served as an Ambassador and now in the Netherlands.

The ambassador displayed the true Nigerian hospitality to the visiting delegation with foods and drinks. The meeting also offered a good networking platform among members of the delegation and the embassy officials. The remarkable event came to an end with beautiful photoshoots.
