Oba Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadan To Promote Nine Chiefs Today

Oba Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadan will today promote nine chiefs in the Balogun line to fill the vacancies existing in the Ibadan Traditional Council.

The ceremony is expected to hold at the ancestral Aliiwo Palace of the Olubadan.

Six senior chiefs will be promoted, today, along with three others.

The six include Senior Chiefs Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin, from Maye to Abese; Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, from Ekefa to Maye and Adegboyega Adeniran, who will move from Agbaakin to Ekefa.

Other to be affected are Senior Chiefs Taiwo Anthony Adebayo Oyekan, from Aare Alasa to Agbaakin; Raufu Amusa Eleruwere, from Ikolaba to Agbaakin and Emiola Onideure from Asaju to Ikolaba.

The other three chiefs to be promoted are current Ayingun, Tirimisiyu Obisesan, Aare-Ago Wasiu Ajimobi and Lagunna Mikhail Modi.

But, they will be promoted to Asaju, Ayingun and Aare-Ago.
