Kanayo O Kanayo (KOK): Celebrating The "Igwe" Of Nollywood @ 60

Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo is a Nigerian veteran actor, born March 1st, 1962 in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria.

Kanayo O. Kanayo fondly called KOK is one of the many Nollywood stars who believed Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Anambra State Governor-elect, would do exceedingly well as Governor when he assumes office come March 17, 2022

KOK made his debut in Nollywood in 1992 in his role in living in bondage. This debut movie brought him into full limelight and also marked the start of his distinguished career in the Nigerian Nollywood film Industry

He has never relented in his contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry. In 2006 KOK won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role aside many awards and accolades that have come his way!

Kanayo has been involved in over 200+ films in Nollywood. He is currently a United Nations ambassador and bears the title of MFR. (Member of the Federal Republic)

Kanayo along with Kenneth Nnebue (producer of Living in Bondage), Olu Jacobs, Enoch Adeboye, Queen Elizabeth, and Fela Kuti were among Nigerians honored by the Nigerian government in 2014 during the nation's centenary celebration.

With his creativity and acting skills fully intact, and still in search of self development in other areas of endeavour, Kanayo in 2015 proceeded to read law at University of Abuja, where he graduated with a law degree in 2019 and was called to Bar in 2020

He is currently one of the richest and most influential and sought after actor in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of over $4.5 million dollars

Kanayo also owns a multi- million naira mansion in his hometown in Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State of which he recently did a house-warming ceremony with friends and family members who came to rejoice with himWith all these affluence, KOK still remains a very humble and friendly personality. Indeed, kanayo O. Today as the veteran actor clocks 60 years, let roll out the drums to celebrate one of our own. He surely deserved to be celebrated.
