Life Starts At Fifty!!!

Knowing Mr Katib Idris Kolawole is tantamount to having gift of a single color box without any inklings of the shining rainbow of bright colors that wait to pop out as it is opened. You bet that the rainbow not only exhibits beautiful color; it somehow reassures of the promises of life and nature.

In the last seven years, I have worked in the same organization with Mr Katib, the feeling has been like we have known each for years. His dedication to his duties and the sanctity of the work process is both commendable and worthy of emulation.

He is a person of varied experience within and outside the fields of journalism and Public Relations. Such experiences have made him excellent on job and even more than capable.

To relate with Mr Katib is similar to using a matchstick to lit a fire. He will, no doubt, school you on many ideas and concept you do not know. No wonder, some people call him "Professor". Yes! He is a professor of what he knows and what he is a specialist in.

As a man of creativity, himself, he is ever ready to encourage new ideas that will promote his brand, the University. He has good ears, too, because he is ever ready to listen to like-minded people. To him no idea is a waste; there will always be a place for improvement and development in human resources and others.

In recent times, awards and prizes have come in as proofs of his excellent works over the years. They are subtle confirmation of many years of diligence and dexterity. More are coming soon.

To say Mr Katib is cool and calm is about reiterating the obvious. Do not say he is quiet! He is only observing! Refrain from saying he is a chatterbox. He is only making his voice heard and lecturing the misinformed on the rights and chasing away the wrongs. Remember, he is the Public Relations Practitioner.

It is widely accepted that life starts at forty. Then if you are at fifty, a new life starts and wisdom beckons and overtakes spontaneity.

For me, I wish him more sound health and blessings. More wisdom and knowledge! More prosperity and happiness. Then more and more of those things he has been wishing and praying for.
