Many graduating students of the Kogi State University, Anyigba, has expressed outrage over the “ridiculous amount of money” offered by the state government to commend First Class and Best graduating students.

It was learnt that KSU management awarded N2000 as cash prizes to students who earned first class at their respective departments, while it awarded a sum of N5000 to overall best graduate of the university.

One of the aggrieved first class graduating students shared his cheque on Monday with the United Bank for Africa slip showing a token of N2000 as reward to applaud the best students for their academic excellence by the university.

As showed, the cheque was dated 26th January, 2022.

The money was gifted to the graduates during their recent convocation.

In the words of the source: "This was at a recent convocation. N2000 was given to all first-class graduating students and N5000 to the overall best graduands".
