AFCON 2022: Ambazonian Defense Forces Attack Victoria Stadium, Warn Participants (Video)

The Ambazonia Defense Forces has intensidied efforts to disrupt the AFCON tournament being hosted by the Republic of Cameroon (French: République du Cameroun). According to a statement made available to The Nigerian Voice by Mr Capo Daniel (Deputy Defense Chief of Ambazonia Governing Council), the Ambazonian resistance forces and their operatives are determined to ensure that no football event hosted by the government of Cameroon will hold in any Ambazonian territory.

The Ambazonia Governing Council have confirmed that her operatives successfully carried out a second successful IED attack in Victoria to send a warning to participants of the tournament.

The Ambazonia War or the Cameroonian Civil War is an ongoing war in the Southern Cameroons regions of Cameroon for the liberation of the people of the region from the rest of the country. The Ambazonian separatists have since 2016 engaged the government of Cameroon in a guerilla campaign against Cameroonian security forces.

Meanwhile, the government of the Republic of Cameroon have assured participants of the African cup of nation that their safety is guaranteed in the Southern Cameroon region as the tournament is billed to start soon.
