Assess Ebonyi Guber Aspirants By Their Performances - Edwin-nwoñu
The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions and the leading gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming general election in Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Anayo Peter Edwin-Nwoñu, has called on Ebonyi electorate to use the respective performances of those jostling for the plum job in the respective public offices they occupied before and presently to assess the guber aspirants including himself. The federal legislator made this call in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State while addressing party faithful from the 171 wards and the 13 Local Government Areas that make Ebonyi State who paid him New Year homage at his country home in Ekka Community, Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State.
Edwin-Nwoñu who represents Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly thanked God for preserving the lives of PDP faithful and congratulated the people for making the history of crossing over to the new year. Edwin-Nwoñu equally thanked them for their commitment to the PDP which he assured them was set to reclaim the gubernatorial position in Ebonyi State in the coming 2023 general elections.
In the words of the lawmaker, " First of all, I thank God by whose grace we were all preserved to see 2022. Let me congratulate you for crossing over to 2022. I want to also assure you that the entire Ebonyi electorate is firmly in support of the only political party they know and love which is the Peoples Democratic Party. So, PDP is set to democratically take over Ebonyi State Government House by winning with landslide margins all the elective positions in the 2023 general elections.
"On the gubernatorial seat which I, alongside many others, have shown interest, I want Ebonyi people to assess each and everyone of us by our performances in the various offices we either occupied in the past or even presently before deciding whom to support. The good thing is that all of us vying for Ebonyi State Governorship in 2023 have tested power, it is time to assess us based on performance! I charge Ebonyi electorate to assess each and every one of us with our respective scorecards in the offices we have occupied and the ones we respectively occupy. I say this because by 2023 Ebonyi people need a governor who is committed to the welfare of the people and has shown capacity to perform in the positions he has held or is holding. It is through these assessments that Ebonyi people will discover the person who the cap fits; and I am ready for the assessment anytime, any day."
Rt. Hon. Edwin-Nwoñu who has become a crowd-puller in his home state of Ebonyi and beyond has been busy in his Ekka country home, fraternizing with Ebonyi people across religious and political divides in the spirit of the yuletide. He is currently serving his second term mandate in the National Assembly.
